Marinegel
batteries from Battery Energy are designed specifically for
marine applications using revolutionary Supergel long life plate technology.
Marine applications typically require a combination of features that
are rarely found in a single battery. These include:
- Good starting performance
- Excellent charging characteristics over a wide range of voltages
and currents
- Good cycling and life performance
- Very high reliability and ability to stand up to a wide range
of abusive conditions, including operation in a salt laden environment.
 |
When the CSIRO and Battery Energy
developed the Supergel technology, they focused on product with
superior life characteristics. The unique chemical and molecular
characteristics give a product that outperforms other gel batteries
by several times in a number of independent tests. |
Marinegel battery can therefore fulfil all the above stated requirements:
- Marinegel batteries have a cycle life of 1200 when fully charged
and discharged (100%) and a life under steady float conditions
of 20 years.
- Marinegel batteries are designed to operate for extended periods
of time under a reduced state of charge. It can operate under
high temperature (60 degrees) or low temperature conditions (minus
20 degrees).
- Marinegel batteries can accept charge and reach the fully charged
state from 13.4 to 14.7V (12V battery).
- Marinegel batteries capable of withstanding the most severe
marine environments.
- Marinegel have an excellent cranking capability.
Battery Energy Marinegel is the gel battery most suitably designed
for all marine applications.
